Hotel Policies


S Hotel Montego Bay’s standard check-in time begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early arrivals and late departures are based on availability, fees may apply. On arrival at the hotel, everyone is required to leave a copy of their valid picture identification at the front desk for filing. Age Requirement

Guests must be 21 years or older with valid government-issued identification to reserve a guestroom. A person of the minimum age requirement of 21 years must be present at check-in time and become a registered guest in the room. For registered guests under the age of 21, the hotel will remove all alcoholic beverages from the guestroom prior to the check-in process. The minimum age for all hotel guests is 16 years.


An extra person charge will apply if there are more than 2 persons in a guest room. The maximum occupancy in the Mini King Rooms is 2 persons and the maximum occupancy in all other categories is 3 persons. An extra person charge of US$285 per night plus taxes and service charge, will apply for the third person sharing a room or suite.


A deposit equal to 50% of the stay is required at the time of booking and will be charged to your credit card. The balance will be charged 14 days prior to arrival. The credit card being used must match the name on the reservation. A valid government issued ID will be requested for verification.


On arrival at the hotel, S Hotel Montego Bay requires a credit card pre-authorization for anticipated incidental charges estimated at US$100 per night. The authorization will hold the funds until check-out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges. The hotel is cashless; however we accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and wire transfer.


Cancel by 5:00 PM local hotel time at least 14 days prior to arrival to avoid 50% of the total stay penalty fee. For the period Dec 22 – Jan 3, cancel by 5:00 pm local hotel time at least 30 days prior to arrival to avoid a penalty of 50% of the total stay.

Early Departure

Guests who check out of the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date are subject to an early departure fee of one night’s room and tax.


S Hotel Montego Bay is a 100% non-smoking hotel and has a no smoking policy in all rooms and public areas. Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside of the building. A US$1,000 per stay cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s account should smoking occur anywhere inside the hotel.


Families with children 16 years old or older are welcome.


No pets are allowed on the property.

Irie Spa & Baths

Spa treatments are available to guests 18 years of age or older. Guests below the age of 18 may receive certain treatments with a signed parental or guardian release waiver. For more information contact our Spa Concierge on 876.979.000.

Fitness Centre & Pools

Our Fitness Centre is complimentary to all hotel guests 18 years of age or older. A parent or guardian must always accompany guests under the age of 18 when visiting the fitness centre or pools.


Overnight self-parking is available in the hotel’s parking lot free of charge.
